Participant Agreement & Liability Waiver

I voluntarily choose to participate in the INDY100 cycling event (the “Event”) on August 21, 2027. I represent and warrant that I am in sound physical condition, have sufficiently trained for the rigorous physical demands of endurance road and trail bicycling, and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical professional. I accept full personal responsibility for monitoring my physical condition throughout the ride.

I fully understand and acknowledge that bicycling on public highways, rural roads, converted rail-trails (including the Monon Trail and Nickel Plate Trail), bridges, and street crossings is an intrinsically hazardous sport. Risks include, but are not limited to: collisions with moving motor vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians, animals, and stationary obstacles; potholes, loose gravel, railroad tracks, cracks, expansion joints, wet paint, and uneven surfaces; adverse weather conditions such as high winds, extreme heat, dehydration, and lightning; physical exertion leading to cardiac arrest, heat stroke, and severe exhaustion; mechanical equipment breakdown; and delayed medical access in rural sections. I freely assume all known and unknown risks.

I agree that I MUST wear a properly fitted and fastened bicycle helmet adhering to recognized safety standards (CPSC, ANSI, or SNELL) at all times while mounted on my bicycle during the Event. Failure to wear an approved fastened helmet will result in immediate disqualification and removal from the course without refund.

I understand that the roads and trails are NOT completely closed to vehicular or pedestrian traffic. I agree to obey all applicable Indiana motor vehicle statutes, municipal traffic ordinances, posted stop signs, red signals, and direction from law enforcement, ride marshals, and course volunteers. I will ride in single file or in safe, courteous group formations, yield right-of-way to pedestrians on multi-use greenways, and ride safely and predictably at all times.

In consideration for being permitted to register and participate in the Event, I, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby FOREVER RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND HOLD HARMLESS INDY100, Pat Jones Optimization, Hammer Nutrition, Hamilton County, Marion County, the City of Indianapolis, the City of Carmel, the City of Fishers, the City of Noblesville, trail management entities, event coordinators, sponsors, officers, directors, volunteers, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, suits, or causes of action arising out of my participation, including claims for property damage, personal injury, disability, illness, or death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

I authorize event staff, medical personnel, and emergency responders to administer emergency first aid, CPR, medical transportation, and clinical care in the event of injury, accident, or acute illness during the Event. I acknowledge and agree that I am solely responsible for all financial expenses and costs incurred as a result of any medical transportation, treatment, hospital stay, or related emergency services.

I grant full permission to INDY100 and its authorized media partners to photograph, film, record, and livestream my participation in the Event. I license the perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide use of my name, voice, likeness, and quotes in any broadcast, telecast, print media, social network, website, or promotional video for marketing, informational, and historical archival purposes without financial compensation or prior review.

This Agreement shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the substantive laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal claim or proceeding arising under this Agreement must be brought exclusively in the state courts of Marion County, Indiana. If any provision of this agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions shall continue in full legal force and effect.
