Website & Event Terms of Use

Effective Date: October 20, 2026 • Last Revised: October 2026 • indy100.org

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to INDY100 (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operated via indy100.org and related digital properties. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our website, digital content, registration portals, and participation in the INDY100 cycling challenge scheduled for Saturday, August 21, 2027, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

By accessing or browsing this website, downloading digital assets, or submitting an event registration, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Use and our companion Privacy Policy and Participant Liability Waiver.

2. Event Registration, Fees & Transfers

Registration for the INDY100 (25-mile, 62-mile/100km, or 100-mile Century) is non-refundable. Because permits, event logistics, safety personnel, and custom swag orders are committed months in advance, registration fees cannot be refunded under any circumstances, including but not limited to rider schedule conflicts, minor illness, or personal travel changes.

Bib Transfers: Official rider bib transfers and distance category changes may be requested up to fourteen (14) days prior to event day by emailing registration@indy100.org (or registeration@indy100.org). Unofficial or unauthorized selling or exchanging of race numbers or timing chips without signed organizer approval is strictly prohibited.

3. Participant Safety, Helmets & Trail Etiquette

All registered participants must strictly comply with all safety instructions, traffic regulations, and ride coordinator directions:

  • Mandatory Helmets: Every cyclist must wear an approved, undamaged, securely fastened CPSC/ANSI/SNELL helmet while riding.
  • Rules of the Road: Courses are open to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Riders must obey Indiana traffic laws, stop signs, and traffic signals at all intersections.
  • Greenway Etiquette: Multi-use corridors such as the Monon Trail and Nickel Plate Trail are shared with runners, walkers, and families. Riders must announce passes clearly and yield right-of-way.
  • Bicycle Standards: E-bikes (Class 1 & 2 pedal-assist adhering to local municipal trail regulations) and human-powered bicycles in safe mechanical condition are permitted. Fixed-gear bicycles without functional brakes and aero bars in pacelines are prohibited for safety.

4. Inclement Weather, Force Majeure & Tentative Operational Status

The event date is set for Saturday, August 21, 2027. With the exception of this confirmed date, all operational components of the event—including all scheduled rides, course routes, distances, elevation profiles, wave launch protocols, aid stations, Hammer Nutrition fueling provisions, roving SAG vehicle patrols, and course sweeps—are tentative and subject to acts of God, severe weather, public safety authority directives, emergency road repairs, change, alteration, or cancellation until the successful completion of the event.

The INDY100SM is a rain-or-shine endurance event. However, organizer officials in consultation with local public safety agencies (Indianapolis Metropolitan Police, Hamilton County Sheriff, Carmel, Fishers, and Noblesville authorities) reserve the right to delay, postpone, reroute, or cancel any course segment in the event of severe lightning storms, tornadoes, active flooding, road hazards, acts of God, or civic emergencies. In the event of force majeure cancellation, delay, or route alteration, no refunds will be issued.

5. Intellectual Property & Service Marks

All original graphics, logos, brand emblems, photographic media, route compositions, layout designs, and text appearing on indy100.org are the intellectual property of INDY100 or its licensors. INDY100SM is a protected service mark.

Authorized members of the press and credentialed media partners are granted a limited, revocable license to utilize our official media assets strictly in accordance with the guidelines specified in our Press & Media Kit. Commercial reproduction or unauthorized merchandise manufacturing is strictly prohibited.

6. Official Merchandise Store & Third-Party Services

Official INDY100 branded apparel and merchandise is hosted at merch.indy100.org. Transactions conducted on the merchandise portal or through external affiliate partners (such as Hammer Nutrition fuel orders or Pat Jones Optimization consulting services) are subject to the respective terms and privacy policies of those independent platforms.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE INDY100 WEBSITE AND ALL INFORMATION, GPS ELEVATION TRACKS, AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INDY100, ITS ORGANIZERS, OFFICERS, SPONSORS, AND VOLUNTEERS DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR ACCESS TO THIS SITE OR PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT.

8. Governing Law & Indiana Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to principles of conflicts of law. You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or your event participation shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Marion County, Indiana.
